Make time saving not a Mirage, with Oriol Paulo’s new thriller

Mirage is a thriller directed by Oriol Paulo and produced by Atresmedia Cine. The story focuses on a woman, Vera Durán, whose life becomes a nightmare when she tries to avoid a crime.

Xavi Tió, Production Coordinator: “My job as a Production Coordinator is to make sure everybody has access to the same information and is on the same page. I have to keep people informed about what we’re doing and I’m taking care of everything that’s happening around the set. I really like the fact that it’s a very diverse job, each day is always different from the another.”

Soledad Martínez, Production Coordinator: “What was really fun and challenging on this production is that we had a lot of scenes with special and visual effects and also lots of night-shoots. What I like the most about my job is the ability to be there from the very beginning of the project and to stay with it throughout the entire process, which can sometimes take several years. When you’re involved for a very long time and the movie becomes a part of you, in a way.”

Magda Gargallo, Unit Production Manager: “As a UPM, I coordinate the crew and the different departments. I think in a way my job is like being a psychologist: I need to have a good insight into everyone’s needs or requirements and I try to meet them, so we can do something great together. I also really like to be part of the overall process, to be able to see how we manage thing from A to Z.”

Soledad: “SetKeeper helped us with our everyday distribution. We can now automatically watermark and then send all the call sheets and confidential documents. It saved us a lot of time as we don’t have to watermark files one by one.”

Magda: “The locations department feature on SetKeeper has been really useful for us. We could take pictures of every location we were considering and put them on SetKeeper, and then easily send a message to everyone working in this department, asking them to check the new pictures and tell us what they think.”

Soledad: “We used to manage things with emails and Dropbox, but the problem is that with Dropbox you always have to buy some more storage space along the way. With SetKeeper we can save on time and on storage space.”

Xavi: “When we were in Barcelona and a lot of producers were in Madrid, using SetKeeper helped us all to have access to the same information at the same time. We also decided to use SetKeeper because it allows to control access rights for each individual, depending on the person’s position.”
