Building trust and human connections

When I was approached to work on Killing Eve, I was already very excited about the idea that it was written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. It was such a good script and I hadn’t worked before on a production where the script excited me so much. It was also the first time I was part of such a big show and we just got two Emmy nominations, that’s huge, I’m really proud of it!

Being an Assistant Production Coordinator I’m the main person to distribute all sorts of information. I was also a constant presence in the cast and crew’s inbox. It was interesting because although it took me a few months to meet everyone in person, they were all very familiar with me, which meant that they could rely on me to answer their queries. It’s a very fulfilling thing to know that people know who you are and that they can come to you for information.

My job also puts me literally in the center of everything and I am surrounded by a wealth of information coming from all sides which enables me to identify if people are not on the same page and to avoid disasters by miscommunication. That’s the best part of my job, I really like the idea of knowing that I can be relied on.

I would say that the main qualities required to be a good Production Coordinator are first of all to be passionate about what you do, then of course, being sociable, patient and resilient. I think you also need to be eager to face a variety of challenges, ranging from the most interesting to the most boring one!

I was in charge of distribution and SetKeeper became very handy for managing distribution lists. I had about 65 of them and SetKeeper made it so easy to create, duplicate or modify them. It’s a very efficient and intuitive tool.

An important part of my job was also to keep track of the distribution and make sure that everyone received the information. When I first started using the platform, the email analytics feature didn’t exist, so every time I had to distribute documents, I had to use an Excel spreadsheet and mark everyone that received it. It was hard to keep up and the process was very time- consuming. I also gave that feedback and within a few weeks, SetKeeper had implemented the analytics tools, which has made all the difference.

I think what’s really interesting about SetKeeper is their ability and willingness to constantly improve the product.
